PHOENIX — Two drivers have life-threatening injuries after a crash near 43rd Avenue and Buckeye Road early Monday morning.
Phoenix police say around 3 a.m., a speeding sedan failed to stop at a red light along Buckeye Road. The car then collided with a southbound vehicle that was traveling through the 43rd Avenue intersection.
The impact of the crash sent one of the vehicles into a power pole, and the other came to a rest on its side away from the intersection.
Police say both drivers were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
It's unknown whether impairment was a factor in the crash.
