A sinkhole has formed in a Phoenix neighborhood after a car crashed into a fire hydrant.

According to a city spokesperson, when the vehicle hit the hydrant it also caused a break in the water main.

The resulting pressure created a hole, and the vehicle partially sank into it.

There was no word on any potential injuries as a result of the collision.

Officials did not immediately have an estimate for when the main and road would be repaired.
