The former manager of a suburban Phoenix high school's bookstore is accused of stealing more than $120,000 for personal use including gambling at a casino.

Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich says 56-year-old Brenda Lynn Busse has been arrested on one count each of fraudulent schemes and artifices, theft and misuse of public monies.

Busse was indicted by a grand jury earlier this week.

Prosecutors say Busse siphoned cash payments made to the Tolleson Union High School bookstore between July 2007 and June 2011 and allegedly manipulated computer data to hide the theft.

School district officials opened an investigation when they noticed irregularities in revenue records.

Busse's bond was set at $25,000 at her initial court appearance Thursday.

Busse's husband says she doesn't have an attorney yet and declined further comment.
