The Phoenix Police Department is releasing the name of a 60-year-old woman who died in a car crash on Sunday morning.
Authorities were called to the scene at 75th Avenue and Van Buren Street around 8:30 a.m.
According to a Phoenix police spokesperson, a vehicle was making a left-hand turn when it hit the passenger's side of a second vehicle.
Rosa Gonzalez Sanchez was a passenger in the car attempting to turn. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition but later died of her injuries.
The driver of the car that Sanchez was in was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries, authorities said. However, 74-year-old man is expected to be OK.
Officials say the driver of the second car stayed at the scene and was the only person in the car at the time of the collision.
Impairment is not believed to be a factor in the accident.
