PHOENIX — Phoenix police say a woman was killed in a shooting near 75th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road late Wednesday night.
Officers responded to a home around 10:15 p.m. where they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene and has been identified as 25-year-old Jennifer Jazmin Lopez.
Through an investigation detectives identified and arrested 24-year-old Steven Ray Gault III as a suspect.
What led up to the shooting has not been determined.
