A man convicted of child molestation was arrested last week in Arizona accused of molesting two girls.
Charles Hawkins was convicted in 1988 of child molestation in Nebraska, according to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
He was arrested by Pinal County deputies on Dec. 22 in Apache Junction on four counts of child molestation.
Sheriff Paul Babeu said the investigation began on Nov. 16 when deputies were called to a home about two men fighting. One of the men told deputies he caught Hawkins, a family acquaintance, touching his daughter.
Through the investigation, deputies identified two victims--a 10-year-old girl and a 7-year-old girl--who said Hawkins had molested them. He is being held at the Pinal County Adult Detention Center.
