Authorities have identified two women who have been found safe after going missing on a hike in the Superstition Mountains in Apache Junction.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office says 42-year-old Grace Guilfoyle and 51-year-old Karen Rutowski were a little dehydrated after being evacuated Monday morning from the First Water Trailhead near Boulder Canyon but didn't need any further medical treatment.

Authorities say the two women were dropped off about 11 a.m. Sunday morning for a casual hike on the trailhead. The women had their cellphones and a few snacks.

But when they didn't appear at the pickup point by 5 p.m. and Guilfolyle couldn't be reached by cellphone, her husband called the sheriff's office.

A search crew searched through the night and the women were found around 7:30 a.m. Monday.
