Patriot Guards honored a pilot and nurse who were killed in a medical helicopter crash last week.

The victims were transported from Tucson to Mesa Monday morning as preparations began for their funerals.

The 51-year-old pilot, David Schneider, and a 38-year-old flight nurse, Chad Frary, died when their chopper crashed in the Superstition Mountains.

A third crew member, paramedic Derek Boehm, survived the crash and is now listed in fair condition, according to Air Methods spokeswoman Christina Brodsly. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help pay for his medical bills.

The National Transportation and Safety Board is investigating the crash.
