One person has died after a two vehicle collision on Southern Avenue and Idaho Road in Apache Junction.
The Apache Junction Police Department said a small passenger vehicle and a pick-up truck crashed and then two other vehicles were damaged in a secondary collision at the intersection.
One person died from their injuries; two others were injured and taken to hospitals in stable condition.
The intersection was shut down around 4:30 p.m. but reopened around 9:30 p.m.
Police crews are investigating the incident.
