Officials are investigating a deadly officer-involved shooting in Apache Junction.
Apache Junction police said the shooting happened on January 28 at a home near Superstition Boulevard and Ironwood Drive.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a suspect armed with a shotgun. The suspect reportedly opened the door with his gun, and an officer fired his weapon.
According to Apache Junction police, CPR was performed on the suspect, but he died from his injuries.
The suspect has been identified as 45-year-old Bradley Joseph Szacaks.
The officer who shot Szacaks has been placed on administrative leave and has been with the department for two years.
