Three people are dead following a crash involving two cars in Apache Junction Wednesday night.
Authorities were called to the area of Meridian Drive and Superstition Boulevard after receiving reports of a crash.
According to officials, five people were injured in the accident. Three people are dead and two people are hospitalized with potentially life-threatening injuries.
At least one person was ejected from a car and another person required extrication, a fire spokesperson said.
More than 30 fire personnel responded to the scene.
