A wrong-way crash shut down a portion of US 60 near Gold Canyon Tuesday night.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, around 9 p.m., officials received reports of a wrong-way driver headed westbound in the eastbound lanes near milepost 208.
Several minutes later, the vehicle collided head-on with another car. Both drivers suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
DPS says a pickup truck driver overcorrected in an attempt to not hit the crashed vehicles, causing the truck to roll. The driver and passenger in the truck also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
It's not yet known why the wrong-way driver was traveling in the wrong direction.
No further information has been released.
