GILBERT, AZ — An east Valley community rallied together to bring hope and happiness to a seven-year-old girl battling cancer.
Little Clara Williams was supposed to be heading to Disney World as part of her Make-A-Wish trip. Due to the coronavirus pandemic she was not able to make that trip.
Instead, Make-A-Wish Arizona helped organize the community to perform a car parade and drive through Clara's neighborhood in Gilbert.
Dozens of people lined the streets with their vehicles decorated in Christmas lights, streamers, balloons and other Disney decor.
Fire trucks and police cars from Mesa, Gilbert and Chandler agencies also participated.
We're told the parade lasted about 30 minutes and brought joy to Clara.
