CHANDLER, AZ — Police are investigating a written threat found in a bathroom stall at Basha High School.
School officials say the message alluded to a shooting at the school on Thursday, March 7.
Basha High School Principal David Loutzenheiser sent a letter to parents, asking for help identifying the person who wrote the threat.
"We are working with the Chandler Police Department to identify the person responsible. If you or your child has information that would be helpful, please contact Chandler Police at 782-4130," the principal's letter read.
"The safety and security of our students, staff, and faculty is our top priority and we will maintain our vigilance to keep our campus safe and orderly," it continued. "As we continue to investigate, there will be an added security and police presence on campus on Thursday."
The school says they will release more information when it's available.
Basha High School is located near Riggs Road and Val Vista Drive.
