A Chandler man is making a plea for the safe return of his pit bull puppy, snatched from his front yard over the weekend.
Surveillance video from the victim's home security camera has gone viral. The video shows a vehicle at the residence near Arizona Avenue and Frye Road on Friday evening.
You can see a man playing with a few of the pit bulls from over the fence, before grabbing the tan and white puppy and getting back into the vehicle.
"I was just in shock," said Eddie, the dog's owner, who did not want to disclose his full name out of fear he'd become a target again.
Eddie told ABC15 he noticed his 17-week-old puppy, named 'Chita' was missing after he returned home Saturday morning. He then checked his surveillance video.
"What I see is someone taking...a family member away," Eddie said.
Eddie filed a theft report with Chandler police. According to that report, the case has been suspended due to a lack of leads or suspects. If you have information, you can contact Chandler Police.
"Turn yourself in, if anything drop the dog off at the police station," Eddie said. "Please bring her back."
