Interstate 10 was closed in both directions south of Chandler for several hours overnight after a deadly crash.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety says the five-car crash happened after 9 p.m. Saturday. Initially, only the westbound lanes were closed before authorities decided to expand the closure to both sides of the interstate.

DPS says the crash killed two people, however, they did not give more information about the cause of the crash or other injuries.
After 4 a.m. Sunday, the Arizona Department of Transportation tweeted that both directions of the freeway were reopened after the closure.
