CHANDLER, AZ — Smoke could be seen for miles from a fire burning in Chandler Sunday afternoon.
Gila River Fire Department crews say the fire appeared to be burning in brush and vegetation near the Loop 202 and Kyrene Road.
Firefighters say the fire also fully engulfed three unoccupied buildings in the area.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Commuters are advised to avoid the area while crews work to clear the scene.
