CHANDLER, AZ — Chandler police are investigating a deadly shooting after a report of a domestic incident Saturday morning.
Officers were called to a home on Saragosa Street, near Pecos and McQueen roads, around 2:45 a.m. for reports of a man and woman fighting at 2:45 a.m.
Before officers we able to arrive on the scene, they received reports of gunshots.
When they arrived they found a 35-year-old, identified as Ben Beasley, lying in the driveway with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he died, according to Chandler PD.
Police say they learned that Beasley had been assaulting the woman, who had been identified as his girlfriend, which led to the argument. The woman then asked a juvenile at the home to give her a handgun.
The woman then shot Beasley as he was leaving and trying to run her over with a vehicle in the driveway and front yard.
Police say all individuals involved are cooperating with the investigation. No arrests have been announced.
