The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is investigating after two bodies were found in a Sun Lakes home.
According to an MCSO spokesperson, deputies responded to the home on Michigan Avenue around noon on Saturday after a family member requested a welfare check.
The bodies of two deceased people, a mother and her son, were discovered inside the home, officials said. Officials said Sunday the incident was a murder-suicide.
Brent McClain, 34, shot his mother, 62-year-old Lori Peeples, before turning the gun on himself. Both lived in the home.
Witnesses tell ABC15 that MCSO's Mobile Command Center was parked outside the home for multiple hours.
