CHANDLER, AZ — Chandler police say a person has died after getting hit by a vehicle near Alma School and Ray roads.
Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Ray Road and Arrowhead Drive for reports of a crash around 7:30 Thursday morning.
A pedestrian was transported to a hospital with serious injuries. Police say that person, who hasn't yet been named, was later pronounced dead.
It's unclear if the pedestrian was walking in a crosswalk at the time of the crash.
Police say neither speed nor impairment were factors in the crash.
