Police say an armed robbery occurred at a Chandler convenience store early Friday morning.
Officers responded to the AM/PM store near Chandler Boulevard and Alma School Road in response to the incident before 5 a.m.
Police alerted people nearby to avoid the area during the investigation as much as possible.
As of 6 a.m., police have cut down the crime scene tape and are allowing customers back in the store, but it's not clear whether a suspect is in custody or on the loose.
