Two men have been jailed after a man was shot and killed during a transaction of two women in Chandler.
According to Chandler police, 18-year-old Joseph Caballero and 30-year-old Matthew Vacaneri went to a home early Sunday morning in the area of Dakota Street and Ivanhoe Place.
Police say Caballero and Vacaneri were reportedly trying to "sell the services" of two women who were with them to 29-year-old German Roman Medina.
An argument reportedly started over the cost Medina was charged for the women. A physical fight began and Caballero brandished a weapon, pointing it at Medina. After one round was fired in the air, Vacaneri grabbed the gun and shot Medina in the chest.
Both men fled from the scene with the women, leaving Medina behind. Medina reportedly died at the hospital.
U.S. Marshal's officials, Tempe police, Mesa police and others were able to locate and arrest Caballero in San Tan Valley Sunday night. Vacaneri was arrested in Chandler.
Both have been booked into jail on charges of aggravated assault and first-degree murder.
