CHANDLER — Seven people have been displaced after a house fire in Chandler Saturday night.

Crews were called to the area of Cooper Road and Hunt Highway for reports of a fire.

Cecelia Cervantes, her husband, two children and in-laws were all inside the house.

"They're banging on the door, 'get out, get out,' we don't even know there's a fire," Cecelia said.

As the home burned, Cecelia and Jeff grabbed their nine-month-old and two-year-old, rushing out and leaving everything behind.

Jeff even tried picking up a hose to put the fire out himself. In Ring doorbell footage, you can hear someone saying, "Get away Jeff. Just get away. That's not doing anything, get away!"

"What do we do now? Because everything we own is in that home. We don't have anything," Cecelia said. "We only have the clothes on our backs."

The family says their neighbors have rushed to their side.

"You don't expect neighbors that you've never spoken to, to hand you blankets, give your kids clothes, give you shoes to put on your feet, so we're forever grateful to the people in the community," Cecelia said.

A GoFundMe has been set up to support the family.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
