Firefighters from several departments are wrapping up after a fire in the far southeast Valley.
Units from the Sun Lakes and Chandler fire departments responded Friday afternoon to a home near Alma School Road and Hunt Highway.
A Sun Lakes Fire Department spokesman said the fire is mainly in the ceiling of the one-story home. Officials said crews had to fight the fire defensively because of the intensity of the flames.
There was no word on if anyone was home at the time of the fire, though firefighters said no injuries had been reported.
Photos from Air15 showed much of the home's roof was destroyed.
