PHOENIX — A state trooper going through field training caught a driver using the HOV lane on the US 60 with a rather stiff passenger.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety says the trooper pulled over a vehicle which had a clothed mannequin in the passenger seat.
DPS said troopers go through field training after graduating from a law enforcement academy. It's a time to develop the skills to notice traffic violations like people not following the law regarding the HOV lane.

The driver was cited for the infraction, DPS said.
DPS has previously said troopers find and cite about 4,000 people for violating the HOV lane every year.
