About five acres of an orange orchard burned Thursday afternoon in Gilbert. This happened near 183rd Place and Cloud Road.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office says they believe the fire was started by kids with fire crackers, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet.
The fire has been contained, but MCSO says sparks continue to be a threat because of wind in the area.
No structures were threatened, and no injuries have been reported.
