Gilbert police have confirmed that a 2-year-old Gilbert boy has died after he was found floating in a pool earlier this month.
The young boy was found floating in the backyard pool of a home near Elliot and Lindsay roads. His mother found him and started performing CPR until first responders were able to take over.
He was taken to the hospital where he remained in extremely critical condition. On Thursday, a statement was released by the boy's family that he had passed away.
