GILBERT, AZ — Gilbert police are investigating after two women were found dead inside a garage with a car running Friday morning.
Police say they were called to a home near Gilbert and Guadalupe roads, along with the fire department, around 9:50 a.m. for a call of a woman not breathing.
Rescue crews forced entry into the home and located two women deceased in the garage, with a car running.
Police tell me they did detect carbon monoxide. Family members believe the two women were overcome by it. Police investigating but at this point believe it was an accident. The two victims are close friends. @abc15 https://t.co/hMWEuk3WI3

Police say no foul play was discovered in the incident, though the investigation is just in the beginning stages.
Police are awaiting an autopsy result to provide aid in the investigation.
