Caron Thompson, autistic boy with health conditions, reported missing from Mesa found safe

MESA, AZ — Mesa police say a 12-year-old autistic boy who was reported missing Sunday has been found.

Police say Caron Thompson was last seen around 11:30 p.m. near Main Street and Longmore. He was wearing acid-wash joggers and socks, but no shirt or shoes.

Family was concerned for the child's welfare and said he did not take his medication with him. He has autism, seizures, bipolar disorder and asthma

Officials said Thompson was located at a family member's home Monday morning.

**Note, the Missing Child flyer from Mesa Police Department contains a typo, saying Thompson was last seen on Feb. 2. However, they say this is a mistake, and he was last seen on Feb. 7.
