MESA — A driver has been ejected from his vehicle, and two children were injured in a serious rollover crash on US-60 at Stapley, DPS says.

The driver has serious but non-life threatening injuries. The two children are said to have minor injuries.

According to DPS, the crash occurred around 7:45 a.m. when a passenger jeep rolled over at the above location.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle and injured, but was able to tell DPS troopers he swerved to avoid something in the road when his vehicle rolled over.

A child, whose age is currently unknown, was in the vehicle and is also injured, DPS says.

At this time, the collision is blocking the #1 lane and HOV lane on the US-60.

A secondary crash may have also occurred in the area due to the traffic backup caused by the aforementioned crash, DPS says.

The second crash involved a semi-truck and two passenger vehicles. There were no injuries in the crash, according to DPS.
