MESA, AZ — The Department of Public Safety is asking for the public's help locating a 23-year-old man accused of threatening to kill another driver last year.
Officials say on July 11, 2020, Michael Floris was driving on US 60 near Alma School Road when he allegedly pulled a gun on a woman driving eastbound on US 60.
Troopers say Floris drove along the passenger side of the woman's vehicle and began yelling while pointing a handgun at her.
When the woman exited US 60 at Alma School Road, Floris reportedly stopped in front of the victim's car, exited his vehicle and approached her while yelling, pointing a gun at her and threatening to kill her.
Officials say the woman filmed the incident and DPS was later able to identify Floris as the suspect.
Authorities say Floris is facing charges of assault, aggravated assault and disorderly conduct. He is believed to be in Southern California but has connections to both the Phoenix and Las Vegas areas.
