MESA, AZ — A motorist died Wednesday after a chain-reaction crash in Mesa.
Police said two vehicles crashed into each other near Broadway and Dobson roads after one of the vehicles apparently tried to switch lanes. One of the vehicles apparently rolled over and collided into a truck that was traveling in the opposite direction.
The impact caused the truck to crash into a nearby apartment building. The driver of the truck died, police said. The motorist's name has not been released.
Police said impairment does not appear to be a factor in the crashes, and that no one involved is expected to face any charges.
It is unclear if any of the other drivers were hurt.
