After a 31-year-old man, who led police on a pursuit on three different Valley freeways, crashed a vehicle on Interstate 10, officials shut down the freeway eastbound at Riggs Road and westbound at State Route 587.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, westbound I-10 was shut down at State Route 587 around 6 p.m. Eastbound I-10 was closed at Riggs Road around 7:30 p.m. Both closures were extended late into the night.
ADOT said around 2 a.m. Friday that both directions had reopened.
The closures I-10 in both directions south of Valley are expected to be extended. Detours are in place from Riggs Road EB and SR 587 WB.

ABC15 learned Joshua Michael Monigold, 31, was wanted on March 19 after being involved in a hit-and-run incident in Maranaprior to leading Valley enforcement agencies on a chase.
