MESA, AZ — Police have located the parents of a three-year-old boy who was found wandering alone in Mesa on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Mesa Police Department, the child was found wandering near Country Club Drive and Southern Avenue.
Police say the child is non-verbal and believe the child was left in the area around 11:00 a.m.
In an update around 6:45 p.m., police said officers had found the child's parents.
The department said it was still investigating how the child ended up on its own.
Great News! The Mesa Police Department, with the assistance of the media and general public, was able to locate the parents of the child found at 1400 S Country Club. The investigation as to how the child became lost is still on-going.
