Man drowns after jumping into Salt River in Mesa

Officials pulled out the body of an adult man from the Salt River on the 4th of July. 

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, a 43-year-old man had jumped 20 feet into the water. 

The man drowned; his body was recovered from an MCSO lake patrol unit around 4 p.m.
