A Mesa man is accused of sexually abusing at least three girls.
According to court documents, Ralston Rupert Jenkins is facing five felony counts of sexual abuse and three felony counts of molestation of a child.
The victim told police that on Feb. 26 she was walking home with friends from a Circle K near Southern and Stapley Roads. Jenkins was with them. She said Jenkins chased the group forcing some of the girls to run ahead, leaving him alone with the victim.
He then put his arm around the girl's shoulders eventually moving his hand into her shirt and on to her breast, the report says. He then allegedly made a comment that the victim believed to be sexual in nature.
Jenkins was arrested and admitted to touching the girl, knowing her age, according to records. He apologized to the victim in a recorded phone call.
Through the investigation, detectives discovered at least two other possible cases of girls alleging they were inappropriately touched by Jenkins. In those two cases, Jenkins reportedly admitted to police to his involvement.
Jenkins reportedly said he drank a lot and "if the victim said they happened they probably did," according to the police report.
Police were still investigating and interviewing the victims.
