Mesa police say impairment is believed to be a factor in a deadly crash Saturday morning.
The crash reportedly took place near McKellips and Stapley.
A 2004 Chevy Cavalier heading eastbound drifted into the westbound lanes, slamming head-on into a truck, police say.
The driver of the car, later identified as 19-year-old Daniel Corona from Mesa, was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was not hurt.
Police believe Corona was impaired at the time of the crash. He was also not wearing a seatbelt at the time.
