A Utah-based bakery and cafe picked a prime time to open its newest location in Mesa.
Kneaders Bakery & Cafe boasts its game day catering options. It opens Friday, just one day before the Arizona Cardinals host the Green Bay Packers for the divisional round playoff game.
The newest location near Signal Butte Road and Southern Avenue is the 10th Valley shop for the chain, the 14th in Arizona. The others are in Tempe, Surprise, Scottsdale, Queen Creek, Glendale, Gilbert, Chandler, Avondale and Phoenix.
James Worthington, the CEO of Kneaders, said the Mesa location is expected to employ approximately 40 people including pastry chefs, kitchen and floor staff and bakers.
It will also house a retail shop, selling gift baskets and home décor. Kneaders also offers online ordering and a drive-thru.
Kneaders is open Monday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The store is giving away free French toast to its first 100 customers Friday and Saturday.
