Police say meth was found in the car with a woman and her young child in Mesa on Sunday.
Brandy Nicole Forman, 28, was reportedly with police at the time of the incident while trying to gain access into her Mesa home.
According to official documents, Forman voluntarily left the home where her child and the child's father lived in an attempt to enter rehab for meth use.
She told police she was denied access and was instead trying to get her child to a different location for the night with a friend.
When she tried to leave, police reminded her that her license was suspended and that she was on methadone and not allowed to drive.
Forman reportedly got agitated and attempted to start the vehicle and leave anyway, which is when she was arrested for endangering her child.
A witness told police she was using meth a couple hours before the incident. Police searched the car and found what was confirmed to be meth.
Police records show that officers were called to the residence two times since February 24 for drug activity that resulted in arrests and seizures of paraphernalia.
Forman was charged with one count of dangerous drug possession and a count of child endangerment.
