MESA — A 19-month-old child is dead after choking on a turkey sandwich in Mesa, according to the Mesa Police Department.
Mesa police say the child's babysitter called 911 after the boy began choking on a sandwich.
The Mesa police and fire departments responded to the scene; however, the child passed away.
According to Mesa police, the 19-month-old's death is being investigated by Mesa homicide detectives.
