MESA, AZ — Mesa police are investigating a deadly shooting that took place at Skyline Park Tuesday night.

Police say a group was gathered in the park around 9:30 p.m. when a confrontation took place. 27-year-old Christopher Clark reportedly confronted a 16-year-old male and pointed a gun at his head. A 17-year-old male then pulled out a gun and shot Clark multiple times. The teens fled the scene and Clark was found in a ramada area of the park with several gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital but was pronounced deceased.

The mother of the 17-year-old that reportedly shot Clark called police shortly after to report what had happened.

The two juveniles and several witnesses were interviewed by police and so far no charges have been filed.
