A 24-year-old man was shot to death in Mesa Friday morning, according to Mesa police.
The incident happened at an apartment complex near US 60 and Gilbert Road just after 1 a.m.
When officers arrived on scene, they found 24-year-old Robert Gertos in his apartment with an apparent gunshot wound. Police say Gertos was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Witnesses told police a dark colored passenger car was seen fleeing from the scene right after the shooting.
Police believe the shooting may be drug related.
