Authorities say a person has been killed after being hit by a vehicle Tuesday night.
According to the Mesa Police Department, a person crossing the street near Broadway and Ellsworth was hit around 7 p.m.
Police said Broadway was closed in both directions between 86th Street and Hawes for the investigation, and drivers were asked to avoid the area.
Police have not said whether the pedestrian was in a crosswalk or not at the time of the crash.
