A Red Mountain High School student has been arrested for bringing an unloaded gun on campus, according to Mesa police.
The Mesa Police Department says a school resource officer was notified of the possible gun and questioned the 15-year-old student. The gun was located and seized from the student’s backpack Thursday.
No threats were made but police say the student has not made clear where the gun came from.
The student has been booked for misconduct involving weapons.
