Mesa Police Department released the identity of a suspect taken into custody after man was found shot to death at an apartment complex Friday night.
Officers responded to the complex near 8th Street and Dobson around 9 p.m., where they found the man inside one of the apartments.
They attempted to revive him, but were unable to do so.
Early Saturday morning, investigators located a possible suspect, 34-year-old Rene Nunez.
Nunez admitted to his involvement in the shooting, which appears to have been drug related.
He was booked into jail on one count of second-degree murder.
Police are not yet releasing the victim's name.
