A Mesa school was placed on a brief lockdown Wednesday afternoon after someone called in a threat, police said.
Officials said the lockdown was issued as a precaution at Crossroads at East Valley Academy after it received a threat of possible violence.
The school is located near Southern Avenue and Alma School Road.
The lockdown was lifted shortly before 4 p.m.
