MESA, AZ — A 2-year-old child has died after being found at the bottom of a Mesa pool Wednesday evening.
Police say the incident happened around 5:30 p.m. at a home near Lindsay and Brown roads.
The child was pulled from the pool by family members after an unknown period of time. Fire crews performed CPR on the child en route to the hospital but the child did not survive.
Circumstances on how the child got in the water or if there was a pool fence are still unknown.
Mesa police say this incident is now being investigated by their homicide unit.
