The students at one Mesa high school just received all As in the "awesome-ways-to-let-someone-know-you-care about-them" class.
They reached out to the DUDE. be nice Project, an initiative to "inspire young people to build a positive community by recognizing a person or group in a fun, creative and meaningful way," according to its website.
In this case, the students wanted to recognize their "Wonder Woman," School Resource Officer Karrie Flanigan The event took place last fall, but the video documenting the experience wasn't released until last week.
The video shows the entire thank-you experience to Flanigan from the first video-chat meeting with Brent, CEO of the DBN Project, to the moments big reveal, including a light-hearted "police chase" by Flanigan through the school saving fallen grandparents and the school's mascot.
"She's so special to us at Red Mountain," said Morgan, identified in the video as a junior. "Someone who takes the time to work with teenagers is pretty cool."
