MESA, AZ — A person has been hospitalized after falling at Usery Mountain Regional Park in far-east Mesa.
It happened this morning in the Hawes trail area.
Officials with Rural Metro Fire say the patient is a female and that she fell about 15 feet off a cliff.
A Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office helicopter was called out to airlift the patient to safety.
She was then taken to a hospital for treatment, according to Rural Metro.
The extent of her injuries is unclear.
