Authorities are searching for a suspect who reportedly assaulted a teenage girl in San Tan Valley.
The incident happened Wednesday morning around 6:30 a.m. while the girl was walking on Cambria Drive from Zampino Street.
The girl told Pinal County Sheriff's Office deputies she was on her way to the bus stop when the suspect grabbed her around the shoulders in what she described as a "bear hug." The girl said she started screaming and waving at a car driving by and the man let her go and ran away.
She did not see the man's face clearly, but thought he was a dark-skinned white or Hispanic male, described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall, wearing dark pants and a hooded sweater over his face.
Deputies say no suspects or witnesses have been located at this time. School officials have been notified of the incident and are working with PCSO to inform parents and the community of the incident.
If you have any information that would help identify the suspect, please notify the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
